Labor Doula Services

What Does a Doula Do?
A doula offers support and information before, during, and just after the birth of your baby. Typically, a doula will meet with you in your second or third trimester of pregnancy to get acquainted. She will help you with your birth plan, plan for what to expect, and how to cope with labor.

A doula will help both mother and partner with breathing and postion changes. She is encouraging you to listen to your body and instincts. A doula is there to walk you through any question or concerns throughout your pregnancy, labor, and birth.

If you are delivering in the hospital, a doula works with the hospital staff to help carry out your wishes. A doula can help you understand what options are available to you and help in preserving your privacy during such an intimate event. Finally, a doula will help with the first breastfeeding and skin to skin contact that is so vital to your baby.
